家にあったタンスがそのまま流れ着いていた。タンスから母親の母の形見の着物を見つけた。「こんなものあってもしかたがない」と言った母の気持ちが私にはよくわからなかった。
 A chest of drawers which there had been in my house drifted there. I discovered a keepsake, kimono from my maternal grandmother. I could not understand why my mother said “It is meaningless that I have such thing”.

連絡がとれず、津波に流されてしまったと思っていた知人と偶然再会する。再会できた記念に、彼の家があった場所で記念撮影をした。

 By accident, I met the acquaintance again who I had thought was passed away by tsunami. I took a photo as the commemoration that I met him at the place where there was his house in.

道路がジグソーパズルのピースのようにいたるところに散らばっている。試しに50センチ四方の小さなピースを持ちあげようとしたが、重くて持ち上げられなかった。

 Road were scattered everywhere like many pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. I tried to lift one of them but I couldn’t do it because it was heavier than I thought.
