バスから一歩降りると、真上にヘリコプターが飛んでいた。周りには数え切れないほどの自衛隊がいる。そこにある空気全てが非常事態を示しているように感じられた。

When I got off the bus, I could see a helicopter in the sky just above me. There were countless members of the Self- Defense forces. I felt a tense atmosphere. All air around me signaled a state of emergency.
